Respecting the confidentiality of personal information is a central priority for Manu Vic. In this regard, we are fully committed to complying with this Privacy Policy (referred in this document as the "Policy") to ensure a high level of protection for the information collected from users of our various services. We also established consistent standards for the protection of personal data and to communicate them in a transparent manner.

This Policy applies to all users (referred in this document as "you") of the services provided by Manu Vic (referred in the document as "we", "us"), whether through our website, accessible at www.manuvic.com, or in person at our various branches.

The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to detail the various circumstances in which Manu Vic collects, uses, discloses and retains users’ personal information.

1. Consent

1.1. Personal data

By browsing our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all provisions of this Privacy Policy, as published on our site. If you don’t agree with any of the provisions set out herein or if you are not authorized to browse our site, you must stop browsing it.

By voluntarily providing personal information about yourself on our website, you implicitly consent the collect, disclosure, use and retention of this data for the purposes for which you originally provided it, and for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes. (Sections 8.3 and 14 of the Privacy Act) Only essential personal informations are collected, disclosed, used and retained, unless otherwise permitted by law.

Before using personal information for purposes other than those for which it was originally provided, we will obtain your consent. (Section 12 of the Privacy Act)

1.2. Sensitive Personal Information

In regard of the collect and use of sensitive personal information, each user must provide express consent. Without any consent, we won’t be permitted to use this information. For the purposes of this Policy, as defined in section 12, paragraph 4, indentation 2 of the Law of the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector, personal information is considered sensitive when, by reason of its nature or the context in which it’s used or disclosed, it generates a high reasonable expectation of privacy.

You have the option to refuse to provide us with one or more of the sensitive personal information requested. However, please note that this may result in the inability to provide you with certain services that require those informations.

1.3. Withdrawal of consent

You have the option to withdraw your consent to Manu Vic’s processing of your personal information at any time. To do so, please contact the Privacy Officer. However, please note that in some situations we may be legally or contractually obliged to retain your data, which may make it impossible to revoke them of our data, with or without your consent.

2. Collection of Personal Information

2.1. Forms and interactivity:

When you explore one of our websites without sharing any information about yourself, no personally identifiable information is collected. However, to benefit from certain services, users must voluntarily provide information considered essential for the obtention of the service in question, by filling out a contact form or by sending us your curriculum vitae.

Your personal information is collected through forms, such as:

  • Contact form
  • Credit Report Review Form
  • Contact form including curriculum vitae

We use the information collected, by the method below, for the following purposes:

  • Account opening / Opening the credit report
  • Information / Promotional Offers
  • Contact / Correspondence

The user has the choice not to provide the requested personal information. However, it’s important to note that this could limit access to required services.

2.2. Customer correspondence with us

When you send an email or any other form of communication to Manu Vic, we may retain it for the purpose of processing your requests, answering your questions, and improving the quality of our services.

3. Processing of Personal Information

We only use personal information for the purposes for which a user has given their consent for its collection. Here are circumstances for which we need to collect certain personal information:

- Open your credit report

- Fulfill our contractual agreements regarding orders.

- Contact you to provide some informations regarding your purchases.

- Manage your job application

- Comply with the requirements of various government laws

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

We reserve the right to share your personal information with affiliated entities, suppliers, agents, or other trusted individuals or companies who process it on our behalf for the purpose of providing you with high standards and personalized products and services.

5. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

As a first step, we store personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service requested by the user, or to fulfill the purpose to which the user has consented in providing the information. If consent has been given for more than one purpose, we will retain the information until the completion of the purpose requiring the longer period, without using it for purposes other than those for which consent was obtained. We also maintain this data for the period required to comply with our legal obligations and governmental laws.

5.1. Deletion of Personal Information

Once the personal information has been used for the purposes for which the user has given consent, we will proceed with its deletion, in accordance with the legally required retention periods (in accordance with Article 23 of the Personal Data Protection Act).

6. Security and Confidentiality of Personal Information

The personal information we collect are stored in a secure environment. People working for us are required to respect the confidentiality of your information in regard of this policy, their policies and governmental laws.

To ensure the security of your personal information, we use the following measures:

We are committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality by incorporating the latest technological innovations to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions. However, since no mechanism offers perfect security, there is always an element of risk when using the Internet to transmit personal information, which is called a “residual risk.”

7. Right to object and withdraw consent

Users have the right, at any time, to request access to their file containing personal information held about them. If this information is inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous, we strongly encourage users to request rectification. Our goal is to maintain accurate data to provide the best possible services. You can address a request to access or rectify your data by contacting our Data Protection Officer. This request must be submitted in writing and must be accompanied by proof to confirm your identity (in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Data Protection Act).

In addition, users have the right to request additional information about how we use their personal data.

It’s also possible for any users to request to receive their computerized personal data in an accessible and readable technological format (in accordance with Article 27 of the Personal Data Protection Act).

A user may also request deletion of information that we no longer believe is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was provided and consented at the beginning or that no longer has a legal basis for its use.

As mentioned above, any users can also change their consent about the use of personal information. A user may also make a complaint to our Privacy Officer and request that we limit the use of their information while the complaint is being processed.

If we believe that withdrawing consent may harm Manu Vic, we reserve the right not to comply with the request and we will notify the user.

If we have reason to believe that an incident involving users' personal information has occurred, we are obligated to take reasonable steps to limit the risk and to be proactive in creating preventative measures. If we believe that serious harm could result from an incident involving personal information, we’ll notify the “Commission d'Accès à l'Information” known as the “CAI” as well as any users whose personal information are affected by the incident, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the law. (Art. 3.5 FA) We also undertake to keep a record of confidentiality incidents (Art. 3.8 LP).

8. Changes to the Policy

It’s important to notice this Policy may be revised at any time. However, no changes, even minor ones, that could affect your rights under this Policy will be implemented without your explicit consent.
